It was my birthday! It was fantastic. Jonathan took me to Outback and to see Tron Legacy in 3D. Then on Monday he pretended to go to work and then knocked on the door with Cake and balloons and streamers ect. He had the day off and didn't tell me. It was a great day! My parents got me the curtains that I posted a picture of. I love them and and they make the whole room look better. The kids have been so easy to put to bed the last couple of days. Isaac loves going to bed on a mattress instead of his crib. Allie has gone from hating to sleep and being up until 11 to giving in easily and wanting to go to bed. I just put her in her crib around 9pm and she cries for 90 seconds and goes to sleep. This has been such a relief after the monster 2 weeks where they were sick and daylight savings through us all off. They just felt miserable and we were up with them until 11 or midnight with crying kids. I posted a video of how sick poor Izzy Pie was. I took the video because I was scared of how he was acting and wanting Jonathan's opinion if I should take him to the hospital. I ended up giving him a nap, he was really tired. And then his fever got to 102.7 and I got really scared but he knocked it down and he got some rest and we took them both to the Dr the next morning. Allie is now on a nebulizer and they both took lots of medicine and are doing much better. When I found out they were both so sick and each had an ear infection I was glad I had decided to be patient with them staying up so late.
Its gotten pretty hot in Texas so we're figuring out ways to keep the house cooler besides running the AC. So our next home project is a Patio cover! The hottest place in the house - hands down - is by the back sliding glass door and big window where the sun hits when its setting. It sets right into the kitchen where I"m running the Dishwasher and oven. So we're building a patio cover so that it hits that instead of our windows. And it will be fun to have in the summer for me to sit under while the kids are playing in the kiddie pool. All you can do in the summer is swim because its sooo hot! Jonathan's been drawing up the plans and we're pretty excited about it. That side bathroom just keeps getting pushed back : )
My dear friend was in the hospital last week. My friend Marta that I go to the library with on Wednesday. She had heart failure and they had to revive her 3x. So I've been helping out with their kids and praying for them. They sent her home on Saturday and still don't know why it all happened. We are grateful she's doing somewhat better. God has answered our prayers over and over and we are so happy.
